Ventio.com.cy is an online multi-vendor marketplace that connects independent sellers (Vendors) with consumers (Buyers). The Platform provides the technical means to list, sell and pay for goods, but it does not manufacture, warehouse, pack, ship or deliver products. Shipping, logistics and physical delivery are performed by Vendors and/or third-party courier services.
Platform role: The Platform operates the marketplace software, displays product and shipping information, facilitates payment processing and provides support tools. The Platform does not physically handle goods and is not a carrier.
Vendor responsibilities: Vendors are solely responsible for accurately setting shipping fees, selecting couriers, packing and labeling goods, timely dispatch, providing tracking information, and handling returns.
Buyer responsibilities: Buyers are responsible for providing complete delivery information, paying shipping charges, paying customs duties if applicable, being available to receive shipments, and inspecting on receipt.
Ventio currently operates within Cyprus only. Vendors may offer delivery through standard postal service, private couriers, or in-person pickup, depending on their preferences and capabilities. Vendors must clearly indicate available delivery methods, estimated delivery times, and any geographic restrictions within their listings.
Some items may require a signature upon delivery. Vendors are responsible for communicating any such requirements in advance. Deliveries to PO boxes, military addresses, or other non-standard locations may be restricted depending on the courier selected by the Vendor.
Per-Vendor calculation: Because Vendors ship independently, shipping is calculated per Vendor. Total Shipping Cost (per Vendor) = Highest Base Shipping Cost + Additional Item Shipping Cost for all other units.
Single Vendor – multiple units: Vendor X: Base = €5.00, Additional = €2.00. Buyer orders 4 units. Calculation: €5.00 + (3 × €2.00) = €11.00.
Vendor-level offers: Individual Vendors may choose to offer free shipping on selected items or above a certain order value. These offers are set and managed solely by the Vendor.
Platform promotions: From time to time, Ventio may run platform-wide promotions that include reduced or waived shipping fees. Such promotions will be clearly communicated and subject to their own terms and conditions.
All prices on the Platform are displayed in Euros (€). Product prices and shipping fees are inclusive of VAT where applicable, as required by Cyprus law. As the Platform currently operates within Cyprus only, customs duties do not normally apply. Should cross-border operations become available in the future, buyers will be responsible for any applicable customs or import duties.
Vendors are expected to process and dispatch orders within the timeframe specified in their listings. Once dispatched, Vendors must update the order status and provide a tracking number where available. Buyers can track their orders through the Platform’s order management page. Processing times may vary by Vendor and are separate from shipping transit times.
Couriers will typically attempt delivery up to two times. If the parcel cannot be delivered, it may be held at a local depot or returned to the Vendor, depending on the courier’s policy. Buyers are responsible for providing accurate and complete delivery addresses. The Platform and Vendors are not liable for delays or non-delivery resulting from incorrect or incomplete address information provided by the Buyer.
Risk of loss and title for purchased items passes from the Vendor to the Buyer upon delivery. Until delivery is confirmed, the Vendor bears the risk of loss or damage during transit. Vendors are encouraged to use insured shipping methods, particularly for high-value items. The Platform does not provide shipping insurance but may facilitate dispute resolution between Buyers and Vendors.
Buyers must inspect items upon receipt and report any damage, loss, or missing items within 48 hours of delivery. Notifications should be made through the Platform’s order management system. Vendors must respond to damage or loss claims within 3 business days. Resolution may include a replacement, refund, or partial refund depending on the circumstances and Vendor policy.
Certain items are prohibited or restricted from shipping under Cyprus law and courier policies. These include hazardous materials, flammable substances, weapons, and other regulated goods. Vendors are solely responsible for ensuring that their products comply with all applicable shipping restrictions and regulations.
Vendors are responsible for packaging items securely and appropriately for transit. Packaging must protect items from damage during shipping. Ventio encourages Vendors to use sustainable and eco-friendly packaging materials where possible. Excessive or wasteful packaging should be avoided.
Ventio acts solely as a marketplace platform and is not a party to any shipping contract between Vendors and couriers or between Vendors and Buyers. The Platform does not guarantee delivery times, shipping costs accuracy set by Vendors, or the condition of items upon delivery. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ventio shall not be liable for any loss, damage, delay, or non-delivery arising from shipping or logistics.
Return shipping costs are generally borne by the Buyer unless the item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, in which case the Vendor is responsible for return shipping costs. Refund of original shipping fees depends on the reason for the return. For faulty or misdescribed items, original shipping fees are refundable. For change-of-mind returns, original shipping fees are typically non-refundable. Please refer to the Ventio Returns and Refunds Policy for full details.
Ventio reserves the right to cancel or suspend orders and accounts where fraudulent activity is suspected. Both Vendors and Buyers must comply with all applicable laws regarding the sale and shipment of goods within Cyprus.
Personal data collected in connection with shipping (such as delivery addresses, contact details, and tracking information) is processed in accordance with Ventio’s Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR as incorporated into Cyprus law.
Buyers and Vendors are encouraged to resolve shipping-related disputes informally through direct communication. If a resolution cannot be reached, either party may escalate the matter to Ventio for mediation through the Platform’s dispute resolution process. Ventio supports the use of the EU’s Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform for cross-border disputes.
This Shipping Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus.
The Platform may amend this Shipping Policy from time to time.

This annex provides technical notes for Vendors regarding shipping configuration on the Platform. Vendors must configure their shipping settings in the Seller Dashboard, including base shipping cost, additional item shipping cost, estimated delivery times, and available delivery methods. These fields are used by the Platform to calculate and display shipping fees to Buyers at checkout. Vendors are responsible for keeping their shipping settings accurate and up to date.
