Police-related items policy

What is the policy?

To prevent impersonation of law enforcement or emergency personnel, Ventio does not allow the listing of police-related uniforms, badges, or official equipment. This includes real, replica, or collectible items that could be misused for unlawful purposes. The following items are not allowed on Ventio:

• Law enforcement and other government-issued uniforms or accessories (including hats, jackets, shirts, or replicas of these items)
• Police badges that resemble a current-issue badge or could be used to impersonate a police officer
• Official emergency lighting systems or sirens, including lenses, LEDs, or related components

Activity on Ventio must follow this policy, the Ventio User Agreement, and all applicable Cyprus and EU laws. Non-compliance may result in listing removal, warnings, account restrictions, or suspension.

Why does Ventio have this policy?

It is illegal under Cyprus and EU law to impersonate law enforcement officials or emergency responders. This policy helps us maintain a law-abiding marketplace and protects community safety by preventing misuse of official gear.
