Tobacco and e-cigarettes policy

What is the policy?

Ventio prohibits the sale of e-cigarettes, tobacco products, and related accessories to ensure full compliance with Cyprus, EU, and international laws that strictly regulate these products. The following products are not allowed on Ventio:

• Cigarettes, cigars, and loose tobacco
• Herbal cigarettes or herbal tobacco (including nicotine-free or tobacco-free cigarettes and shisha)
• Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS), including e-cigarettes, e-liquids, and e-cigarette parts
• Accessories for e-cigarettes
• Nicotine pouches

The following products may be listed if lawful vintage or cessation aids:

• Collectible or vintage tobacco packages
• Nicotine replacement therapies such as patches and gum
• Tobacco seeds

Regulatory compliance

All listings must comply with:

• Cyprus Health Protection (Tobacco Control) Law of 2017, which enforces the EU Tobacco Products

Directive (2014/40/EU) and regulates the sale, advertising, and distribution of tobacco and e-cigarette products

• Cyprus regulations prohibit sales of e-cigarettes and tobacco products to minors, restrict public use and advertising, and ban unlicensed sales, specifically targeting safety controls like nicotine concentration limits (max 20 mg/ml) and packaging standards
• EU-wide bans on cross-border advertising and sales to minors and requirements for health warnings and product notifications apply
• Ventio’s User Agreement and policies governing marketplace legality and buyer-seller protections

Activity on Ventio must follow this policy, the Ventio User Agreement, and all applicable Cyprus and EU laws, and must respect third-party rights. Violations may lead to listing removal, warnings, account restrictions, or suspension.

Why does Ventio have this policy?

This policy aligns Ventio with Cyprus and EU tobacco and vaping regulations that restrict the sale, promotion, and distribution of tobacco and e-cigarette products to protect public health, prevent youth access, and ensure all marketplace transactions comply with strict legal standards. It helps maintain a safe, trusted, and legally compliant environment for all users.
