Adult and sexual wellness items banned by Ventio are not allowed. At Ventio’s discretion, items depicting or describing adult content deemed unsuitable for sale based on Cyprus and EU legal requirements are prohibited to maintain a safe, lawful, and trusted marketplace.
What is the policy?
- Services implying sexual or adult activity are prohibited.
- Sex toys simulating sexual activity with animals or bestiality content are banned.
- Amateur or hidden camera content not produced by legitimate studios where all performers were compensated legally is not allowed.
- Digitally delivered adult content, including downloads or streaming of explicit sexual material, is not allowed unless full compliance with Cyprus and EU digital content laws is met.
- Memberships for adults-only clubs, sex establishments, or similar are prohibited.
- Adult items must comply with all applicable Cyprus laws such as the Publication of Obscene Articles Law (L.35/1963) and recent amendments, as well as EU regulations including the Digital Services Act (DSA) requiring age verification and content moderation.
- Robust age verification mechanisms must be ensured to prevent access by minors, according to the EU
Audiovisual Media Services Directive and Cyprus laws.
- Non-consensual, exploitative, illegal, or child-related adult content is strictly forbidden and subject to removal and criminal prosecution under Cyprus criminal law (including Law 148(I)/2024 on Non-Consensual
Use of Sexual Material).
- Listings violating any of these provisions or laws will be removed and sellers may receive warnings, listing restrictions, or account suspension.
