Gift cards policy

You cannot list gift cards on Ventio – the sale of all gift cards is strictly prohibited. We take fraud prevention and regulatory compliance very seriously.

What is the policy?

• All gift cards are banned. No gift card of any type or issuer may be listed or sold on Ventio.

Activity on Ventio must follow this policy, the Ventio User Agreement, and all applicable Cyprus and EU laws. Non-compliance may result in listing removal, warnings, account restrictions, or suspension.

Why does Ventio have this policy?

This policy helps prevent fraud and money-laundering risks associated with gift cards and ensures compliance with payment-services and anti-money-laundering regulations:

• Cyprus’s Provision and Use of Payment Services and Access to Payment Systems Law (L. 31(I)/2018) – the national implementation of PSD2
• Directive (EU) 2015/2366 on payment services in the internal market (PSD2)
• Directive (EU) 2015/849 on the prevention of the use of the financial system for money-laundering and terrorist-financing
• Cyprus’s Prevention and Suppression of Money Laundering Activities Law (L. 188(I)/2007)

By banning all gift-card listings, Ventio protects its community from financial crime and upholds a secure, legally compliant marketplace.
