Food policy

You cannot list any food products on Ventio – the sale of all edible items is strictly prohibited. We take the health and safety of our community very seriously.

What is the policy?

• All food products are banned. This includes any fresh, packaged, baked, prepared, or processed item, beverages, supplements, ready-to-eat meals, and any other consumable goods.

Activity on Ventio must follow this policy, the Ventio User Agreement, and all applicable Cyprus and EU laws. Non-compliance may result in listing removal, warnings, account restrictions, or suspension.

Why does Ventio have this policy?

This policy ensures compliance with:

• EU General Food Law (Regulation (EC) No 178/2002)
• EU Hygiene of Foodstuffs (Regulation (EC) No 852/2004)
• Cyprus Food (Control and Sale) Law of 1996

By prohibiting all food listings, Ventio minimizes health risks, avoids complex per-item safety requirements, and upholds a legally compliant, risk-averse marketplace for everyone.
