Event tickets policy

You can list event tickets on Ventio only if your listings comply with all applicable Cyprus and EU laws relating to ticket resale and package travel, as well as Ventio’s guidelines. Both primary and secondary ticket sales must follow government regulations to ensure transparency and consumer protection.

What is the policy?

• General resale rules
• You must follow all Cyprus and EU laws relating to ticket resales and secondary-market activities.
• For primary ticket sales, clearly state that it is an authorised first sale by the artist, team, promoter, or organiser.
• Ticket packages

Packages combining tickets with additional services (e.g. backstage passes, meet-and-greets, “experience” offers, or travel accommodations) must comply with the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Directive (EU 2015/2302).

• Prohibited tickets
• Any ticket sold in contravention of local laws (e.g. unauthorised resale bans under a venue’s terms).
• Tickets subject to specific legal restrictions in their territory (e.g. events whose tickets cannot legally be resold).
• Standards for professional conduct

When selling tickets on Ventio, you agree that you will: 1. Only offer tickets you actually possess. 2. Not use deceptive practices (e.g. false scarcity, misrepresenting face value or current market value). 3. Promptly refund any ticket deemed counterfeit or invalid by the venue. 4. Abide by all applicable Cyprus and EU laws governing ticket sales and consumer protection.

• Regulatory compliance

All listings must comply with:

• Cyprus Consumer Protection Law (N. 112(I)/2021), implementing EU consumer-rights rules.
• Unfair Commercial Practices Directive (2005/29/EC), which prohibits misleading or aggressive sales tactics.
• Package Travel Directive (EU 2015/2302) for bundled ticket-and-travel offers.

Activity on Ventio must follow this policy, the Ventio User Agreement, and all applicable Cyprus and EU laws, and must respect third-party rights. Violations may lead to listing removal, warnings, account restrictions, or suspension.
