Protecting minors policy

Ventio does not allow listings that include images or descriptions of minors (anyone under 18 years old) in compromising or inappropriate situations, even when the listing is not intended to be sexual in nature. In all images, minors must be fully clothed and presented respectfully. When listing vintage films, magazines, books, or photos that contain images with nudity that are allowed under this policy, sellers must ensure that all nude persons depicted were 18 years or older at the time the images were produced. Ventio reserves broad discretion to remove any items depicting minors that may violate this policy or applicable laws.

What is the policy?

• Listings must not contain images of minors who are not fully clothed.
• Listings must not base any part of the item description on the clothing (or lack thereof) of minors.
• Modeling photos of minors, even when the subject is fully clothed, are prohibited.
• Listings including terms such as “child,” “children,” “young girls,” or “young boys” to describe an item containing nudity or sexualized situations are prohibited, even if the subjects were 18 or older at the time of production. These terms are also prohibited in product titles in such contexts.
• Listings containing the words “teen,” “teens,” “teenager,” or “Lolita” used in a sexual context without clear statement that subjects or performers are at least 18 years old are not allowed.
• Listings depicting or referencing minor anime genres such as Shota-con, Lolicon, or similar types are prohibited.
• All listings must comply with the laws protecting minors’ rights and dignity under Cyprus legislation, including the Protection of Minors Law (N. 142(I)/2007) and relevant EU directives such as the Audiovisual Media

Services Directive and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) regarding minors.

• Non-compliant listings will be removed, and sellers may face warnings, listing restrictions, or account suspension.

Activity on Ventio must follow this policy, the Ventio User Agreement, and all applicable Cyprus and EU laws. Non-compliance may result in listing removal, warnings, account restrictions, or suspension.
