Counterfeit item policy

You can list branded items and media on Ventio only if they’re original and authentic. Counterfeit goods or unauthorized copies—including software, music, movies, and other media—aren’t allowed.

What is the policy?

• Counterfeit products are illegal and not allowed on Ventio. These items may infringe on someone’s trademark or copyright.
• Examples of counterfeit products include:
• Replica handbags, watches, or sneakers
• Knock-off electronics (e.g. headphones, charging cables)
• Unauthorized reprints of trading cards
• T-shirts or mugs printed with copyrighted images
• Bootleg concert recordings
• Unauthorized copies of movies, music, or software
• Pirated television show recordings
• Listing guidelines:
• Take large, clear photos from multiple angles showing all details.
• Do not hide or blur logos or any part of the item.
• Do not list an item if you’re not certain it’s authentic or if an expert can’t confirm its authenticity.

All listings must comply with:

• Cyprus’s Trade Marks Law (Cap. 268) and the EU’s Regulation (EU) 2017/1001 on the European Union trade mark
• EU’s Directive 2001/29/EC on copyright in the information society and Cyprus’s Law on Copyright and

Related Rights (Law No. 59/1976) Activity on Ventio must follow this policy, the Ventio User Agreement, and all applicable Cyprus and EU laws, and respect third-party rights. Violations may result in listing removal, warnings, account restrictions, or suspension.

Why does Ventio have this policy?

This policy prevents the sale of counterfeit items, which are illegal and could expose sellers to legal risk. Removing them protects sellers and buyers from buyer-protection claims, financial loss, and legal liability.
