Cosmetics and perfume policy

You can list and sell cosmetics and perfumes on Ventio only if your listings comply with EU Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 on cosmetic products and national requirements enforced by the Cyprus Pharmaceutical Services.

What is the policy?

• Cosmetics and perfumes that have been transferred into another container (e.g., bottle, flacon, can, or tube)
• Counterfeit cosmetics and perfumes pretending to be branded products
• Items not in their original packaging
• Skin-bleaching products
• Used cosmetics and cosmetic applicators (such as sponges or pencils) that haven’t been thoroughly cleaned prior to sale
• Used perfume, including partially filled bottles

How to sell permitted cosmetics and perfumes Permitted cosmetics and perfumes—including handmade formulations—may be sold only if the products and their listings comply with:

• EU Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 on cosmetic products
• Any amendments, such as Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/1490 on fragrance allergen labelling
• Cyprus national requirements enforced by Pharmaceutical Services of the Ministry of Health
• Ventio’s trademark and anti-counterfeit policies

Sellers must ensure that product information—ingredients, usage instructions, warnings—and any trademarked names or logos used in listings comply with applicable intellectual property laws. Activity on Ventio must follow this policy, the Ventio User Agreement, and all applicable Cyprus and EU laws, and must respect third-party rights. Violations may result in listing removal, warnings, account restrictions, or suspension.
