Beta and OEM software policy

You can sell original equipment manufacturer (OEM) software on Ventio only if it is bundled with the original hardware and not sold separately. Beta software, including beta keys, cards, or access codes, is not allowed. To ensure only authorized software is listed on Ventio and to prevent the infringement of intellectual property rights, there are restrictions on the type of software that can be sold.

What is the policy?

• Beta software, including beta keys, cards, or access codes, is not allowed.
• OEM, bundled, or recovery software listed on Ventio must follow these rules:
• The listing must include the original hardware, such as the motherboard or hard drive.
• Utility software must include the peripheral device, such as a printer.
• Legal compliance
• All listings must comply with Cyprus’s Copyright and Related Rights Law (Law 59/1976)
• All listings must comply with the EU’s Directive 2009/24/EC on the legal protection of computer programs

Activity on Ventio must follow this policy, the Ventio User Agreement, and all applicable Cyprus and EU intellectual property laws, and must respect the rights of third parties. Violations may result in listing removal, warnings, account restrictions, or suspension.

This policy helps ensure compliance with intellectual property laws, protects Ventio users from unauthorized software distribution, and supports a safe, responsible, and legally compliant marketplace for everyone.
