Violence and violent criminals policy

What is the policy?

• Listings that promote, encourage, or glorify violence towards humans or animals are not allowed on Ventio.
• Listings that facilitate or promote animal fighting are prohibited.
• Items related to violent felons, their criminal acts, or crime scenes from the past 100 years may not be listed.
• Listings that show, contain, or claim to contain real depictions of violence, including rape, execution, torture, actual crime scenes, morgues, dead bodies, or human or animal body parts, are strictly forbidden.

• Sellers should avoid any content, images, or descriptions that could be interpreted as glorifying or promoting violence or violent acts.
• Be mindful of content that references individuals notorious for violent acts or that could distress victims or their families.
• Ensure listings comply with Cyprus criminal law prohibitions against glorifying violence and EU directives on hate speech, violent content, and online safety such as the Digital Services Act (DSA).
• Listings must respect third-party rights, including privacy and dignity of victims and their families, consistent with Cyprus data protection laws and EU GDPR.

Activity on Ventio must follow this policy, the Ventio User Agreement, and all applicable Cyprus and EU laws. Non-compliance with this policy may result in listing removal, warnings, account restrictions, or suspension.

Why does Ventio have this policy?

This policy exists to promote a safe, respectful, and trustworthy marketplace at Ventio. It protects victims of violence, respects community standards, and ensures compliance with Cyprus criminal codes and EU regulations governing violent and harmful content. By preventing the sale and promotion of violent or exploitative materials, Ventio fosters a positive environment in line with legal and ethical standards applicable across Cyprus and the European Union.
