Chance listings policy

You can offer an opportunity to win an item by chance on Ventio only if your listings comply with all applicable Cyprus and EU laws governing gaming promotions and consumer protection. Listings where the winner is determined by chance or contest are generally prohibited on Ventio to prevent unlicensed gambling and protect buyers.

What is the policy?

• Prohibited listings
• Contests, lotteries, raffles or any random drawing to determine a winner.
• Allowed promotions (must meet all of these guidelines):
• Bonuses: Identical bonuses may be offered to all buyers.
• Case/box/pack breaks: May be sold only by pre-approved sellers; the buyer must receive the entire pack or box they purchased.
• Grab bags or mystery boxes: Allowed only if the listing:
• Clearly states general information about what’s included, and
• Does not single out items of monetary or collector’s value unless those items are included with every purchase.
• Giveaways and sweepstakes: Must be pre-approved by Ventio and conducted through an official

Ventio partnership.

• Regulatory compliance
• All listings must comply with Cyprus’s Law Providing for the Regulation of Betting and Related Matters (Act No. 10(I)/2019)
• All listings must comply with the EU’s Unfair Commercial Practices Directive (2005/29/EC)

Activity on Ventio must follow this policy, the Ventio User Agreement, and all applicable Cyprus and EU laws, and respect third-party rights. Violations may result in removal of the listing, warnings, account restrictions, or suspension.

This policy helps ensure compliance with Cyprus’s gambling regulations and EU consumer-protection laws, prevents unlicensed games of chance, and supports a transparent, safe, and legally compliant marketplace for everyone.
